FORST Christmas Beer – 2025 Edition

The 22nd limited edition of the 2-litre glass bottle of FORST Christmas Beer invites admirers to immerse themselves in a world where sacred symbolism, brewing tradition and contemplative atmosphere merge in artistic harmony.

At the centre of this work, created in the internal “workshop” by artist Franz J. Platter, stands the figure of St. Boniface, patron saint of brewers. Wrapped in a festive red cloak, he holds in his arms a Bible with a sword inserted into it, a palm branch, a shovel and a trowel – symbols of the art of brewing and malting.

The winter backdrop of Monte San Giuseppe, located above the brewery, reveals the snow-covered roofs of Birra FORST, the Forst Castle and the parish church of Lagundo. Two majestic fir trees frame the scene and embody the festive atmosphere of the Christmas season, bringing warmth, serenity and joy to the winter landscape.

2025 is a special jubilee year for the Catholic Church, a tradition dating back to Pope Boniface VIII. The Jubilee began solemnly with the opening of the Holy Door in St. Peter's Basilica on Christmas Eve, 24 December 2024, and will end on 6 January 2026. This work intertwines the messages of St. Boniface: they represent the mission of evangelisation, as well as help and support for those in need. St. Boniface has long been an integral part of Birra FORST, depicted in a fresco that celebrates its enduring connection with faith and the art of brewing.

The label, hand-painted with care and devotion, is applied directly to the glass bottle through a sophisticated multiple firing process. The contents are a wonderful amber FORST Christmas Beer, pleasantly hoppy, bottled with the utmost care in the plant dedicated to small formats of Birra FORST.

With this edition, we celebrate the magical atmosphere of Christmas, the living tradition of the art of brewing, the sense of community and the festive atmosphere that characterises this special time of year.
